Q) Hi Dennis, welcome abord we should say, we are really looking forward to seeing you here in Denmark, have you ever been here before?
A) Thanks guys, I am really looking forward to this! I have never been to Denmark ever in my life yet but it must be great, heard some good stories from DJ's who have played there, so...
Q) What are you looking forward to the most? Apart from the Scandinavian girls...
A) Haha well apart from the girls... ehh well I don't know! Haha no I am just looking forward to having a good time over there and wreck the place. I am sure it will be that way!
Q) You started your career producing music, using impulse tracker, a classic program I started out using out with my old Amstrad 286 pc, haha how have things changed since then?
A)Lots of stuff in Impulse Tracker was very limited of course, but to use effects like reverb I pre-made the effect on a sample and then imported it in Impulse Tracker. So all the really creative stuff I did actually outside of the tracker. Of course later there was Fruityloops (version 3 I believe) which made using effects much easier and better. Upon wanting more and better quality, Cubase was the next step and I am sticking with it, I love it.
Q) Can you remember the first time you heard your own track at a club? How did that feel?
A) Oh that was really great, even though it was at a local club. It was absolutely awesome to hear Lockdown getting played by The Prophet @ Defqon 2007 on the mainstage
Q) Do you still get a buzz when you hear your tracks played?
A) Yes I do, mostly because of the people who I see that are enjoying it!
Q) You have produced music in quite a various number of electronic genres, has hardstyle come to stay in your heart or are you still interested in other styles?
A) I am still interested in other styles, I listen to a lot of other styles as well, Sphongle, Infected Mushroom but also classical and ambient music and Pop, Rock, you name it. I might want to expand my producing to other styles as well some day, but not for now.
Q) Do you have any productions in the pipeline that we should look out for?
A) Yes as you may know I have been working on a track together with my girlfriend (You can check this track at the Scantraxx YouTube Channel: it's called Surreality, and I am finishing the B-side at the moment of writing this. I am also doing some other stuff that I can't tell you too much about yet you will hear it undoubtedly in a matter of time!
Q) You have only been DJ'ing for a few years, what is the greatest experience that you have had until now?
A) The Sound of Q-Dance tour in Sydney in March '09 was really the best experience! I also loved playing @ Defqon.1 this year together with my buddy A-lusion. The atmosphere was incredible!
Q)How does it feel being a part of the Scantraxx family?
A) I am proud to be a part of the Scantraxx family, there are a lot of great artists in the crew and the label really stands out.
